“CaringGift” Card

Elevate Your Gift/Merchant Card ...
To a Passionate Status

Background
The era of the plastic gift or merchant card is here!
Right now 70% of major merchants are selling millions of reloadable gift or merchandise cards (prepaid or stored value cards) to their retail customers, i.e. Starbucks now has over 5 million gift cards in their customers’ wallets!

Go to EPC Gift/Merchandise Card for more details.

Distinct Benefits of the EPC “CaringGift” Card Over Competitors

(1) The EPC “CaringGift” Card is protected from competition by issued and pending U.S. Patents.

(2) The EPC “Caring” Card elevates licensed merchants to “Caring” merchants -- who can provide their retail customers with the opportunity to become personally passionized, as well as teach others to be “Caring”.

(3) Next to the EPC “Caring” Card the offerings of competitors are just plain vanilla.

FALL 2002

Now You Can Passionize A Gift Card!
In addition to patenting the basic gift/merchant card and the reloadable card, EPC has also elevated the gift card to a
“CaringGift” Card.

How Does It Work
In using the EPC “CaringGift” Card, the system will allow the Giver, the Receiver, and/or the Merchant to all participate in making contributions to selected charities. As an example:

(1) A Giver (who previously joined EPC as an Individual Member) purchases a gift card for $50.00 at a participating EPC merchant. After the purchase, the Giver gives the card to the Recipient indicating this is not an ordinary gift card, but an EPC “Caring Card”. To know what this means, the Giver tells the Recipient to go online to EPC and enter in the number on the gift card.

(2) When the Recipient enters in the card number, they will see that not only only did the Giver send them a $50.00 gift certificate, they also made a $2.00 donation, in the Recipient’s name, to the “American Cancer Society”.

(3) While the Recipient is online, EPC’s software will ask them if they are also interested in making a donation to the “American Cancer Society”. If the Recipient says “Yes”, and they also wish to donate $2.00 to the “American Cancer Society”, EPC’s software will will allow the Recipient to apportion $2.00 from the gift card (effectively debiting $2.00 off the card resulting in $48.00 to be spent in the store) or instructing EPC to use the Recipient’s credit card account to send $2.00 to the “American Cancer Society”.

(4) Simultaneously, while this Giver/Recipient interactivity is ongoing, the EPC Network has also included the participating merchant in the loop. Accordingly, at any time the merchant can join in the giving fray and report to EPC that it wants to support the passion exhibited by the Giver and the Recipient, and it will also make a $2.00 donation to the “American Cancer Society”.

* Note: In support of the “CaringGift” Card process, the EPC Network will be sending the three players emails, as well as inviting them to communicate among themselves in online chat sessions, etc.
