When a customer instructs a bank to send a % of their funds to a nonprofit, understandably, the customer will want to select the nonprofit. In order for this to occur in an orderly and efficient way, EPC provides bankers and their customers with a bidirectional website called EPC "PowerPennies". PowerPennies: • Allows a bank to recommend NPOs to be listed for customers. (Nonprofits)
• Allow customers to recommend their favorite NPOs to be listed as choices. • Once NPOs are recommended to EPC, EPC will have the NPOs fill out an enrollment form that indicates that they are a 501(c) organization, as well as provide other information such as: address, telephone, email address, contact person, ACH information, etc. Once accepted by EPC, a nonprofit will be granted a license to raise funds, using multiple EPC patented products.
• Once a NPO is listed in the "PowerPennies" website, bank customers will be able to select their
organization as the
recipient of their donations. • On an ongoing basis the "PowerPennies" website will send the licensed bank a file showing the NPO selected by their customers.
• From the website NPOs will be able to refer their supporters to EPC licensed banks to open
up checking, debit and/or credit card accounts. • On an annual basis from the "PowerPennies" website, donors will receive emails showing the amount of their yearly donations for tax reporting purposes.
