America's Dream Card (ADC)

If you like using a Closed Gift & Merchandise Card at your favorite store -- Can you imagine going to any merchant location and being able to load or debit funds using your card?

EPC not only imagined it, we also *U.S. patented a system called the America's Dream Card (ADC) that will allow you to save everyday. The ADC account will allow you to leave excess funds with multiple merchants and know that the funds will safely arrive at a financial institution. In the future, when you are ready, you will be able to use the funds in your ADC account for multiple purposes.

America's Dream Card (ADC) -- A U.S. Patented EPC Product

In 1993, EPC created the ADC system that would allow consumers to save excess funds at a cash register or a point of sale terminal (POS). In April 1997, July 2000, August 2000, and April 2005, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued Every Penny Counts four U.S. patents that provides EPC with protection from competitors imitating the ADC account.

How the ADC  Works!

Simply stated, the ADC invention provides consumers with the opportunity to use a  transaction card in to multiple merchant locations and tell the clerk to load funds into their account by:

(a) Sending any part of their store change (coins and/or bills) to their ADC account. Go Changeless!®

(b) Converting their rebates or coupons to real savings -- by sending the funds to their ADC account.

(c) Allowing them to deposit cash, without making a store purchase, to their ADC account.

On a daily basis, merchants will send their customers ADC deposits to the financial institution(s) that manages the consumers ADC account.

When account holders are ready to use their ADC accounts funds, consumers simply reverse the process by using their transaction card and a personal identification number at the POS, online, ATM, etc.

Saving All Day Long!

Imagine going to multiple stores (i.e. supermarkets, convenience stores, quick service restaurants, retail stores, etc.) and having a clerk accept your savings simply by having a ADC transaction card scanned at any POS terminal.

Receipts and Reporting

Also imagine every time you use your ADC card to make a deposit, the merchant’s cash register will provide you with a
receipt verifying all the details of your transaction.

Account Reporting

And when you are ready to see a monthly report, your
ADC statement will be available online or by U.S. mail, fax, or  telephone.

ADC -- A Valued Service

Also imagine that s
uch a simple and yet elegant customer service will soon be available to everyone regardless of their age, credit rating, or income level!

The ADC account is for every one! Even millionaires are not protected from the hassle of receiving burdensome, store change.

The ADC account would even make Andy Rooney happy! (See excerpts from the 8-12-01 “CBS 60 Minutes” program.)

Management of the ADC Account
Once you leave your funds with a merchant, the merchant will EFT (electronically transfer) the saved funds to the financial institution that you have selected to manage your ADC account.

When You Are Ready -- Debiting Your Funds
After you have saved, any part or all of your funds can be released by your financial institution to:

  • Store Merchants for goods or services

  • Online Merchants for goods or services

  • Nonprofit Organizations as a donation

  • Financial Institutions for mutual funds, insurance, or annuities

  • Credit Card Issuers to fund a secured credit card

  • Credit Institutions as partial or full payments

  • Or withdrawn for cash at ATMs

When debiting funds, customers will have the option of releasing funds per individual transaction and/or by prearranged instructions, i.e. apportioning monthly deposits by percentages (or dollar amounts) as follows: 10% to investments, 40% for a vacation, 20% for holiday gifts, 4% to nonprofits, and 26% for store spending.

Note: ADC Account Versus Gift Card or Merchandise Card
To further appreciate what a ADC account can do for you, many of you are already buying and reloading a gift or merchandise card.

As you know, gift and merchandise cards are really prepaid debit cards that are usually purchased by consumers for special purposes.

In contrast, over and above the gift/merchandise card, the ADC account solves the following real problems, as well as offers new opportunities such as:

  • Removes the problem of receiving store change

  • Allows saving in multiple merchant locations

  • Elevates coupons & rebates to real savings

  • Accepts deposits without needing to make a store purchase

  • Apportions and delivers funds to satisfy multiple account

  • Can be given as a gift card that is reusable
